Chinese Artist Shou Xin Beautifully Illustrates 10 Cats In Simple Sketches

Published 10 hours ago

The playfulness of Shou Xin’s cat drawings seems to leap right off the page with their expressive eyes and minimalist strokes. He effortlessly captures the grace of the felines with limited strokes from his pencil. Despite the economical nature of the drawing, the strokes beautifully convey the flow of the movement that cats are naturally endowed with.

The Chinese artist’s stark drawings may be lacking in colour, but they more than adequately illustrate the vibrancy of the cat’s alertness and motions in a series of simple sketches from which we’ve shared a few favourites in the gallery below.

Shanilou Perera

Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in. While she enjoys fictional books and stories just as much, since childhood she was especially fascinated by encyclopaedias and strangely enough, self-help books. As a kid, she spent most of her time consuming as much knowledge as she could get her hands on and could always be found at the library. Now, she still enjoys finding out about all the amazing things that surround us in our day-to-day lives and is blessed to be able to write about them to share with the whole world as a profession.

Got wisdom to pour?
