Manchester’s Northern Quarter Revitalized By Vibrant New Mural
The newest addition to Manchester’s Norther Quarter has just been unveiled. The 65-foot-tall giant mural by artistic duo SNIK is the latest new creation to mesmerise passersby traversing the streets.
The city pays tribute to its unique character with various street art, art installations and graffiti murals peppering the neighbourhood in a celebration of creativity. Manchester is also renowned for its nightlife and shopping, along with its vibrant art culture.

The recent mural is a depiction of a woman bathed in warm tones etched in black lines on a backdrop of blooming flowers. The piece, called Still Life, is located on the corner of Tib Street offering a glimpse of tranquillity amidst the bustle of the city. Measuring in at an impressive 20 meters or 65.6 feet, this beautiful mural aims to inspire viewers to pause and reflect on their surroundings.

This is SNIK’s second artistic attempt to grace the streets of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The first piece being their 2018 mural, Serenity, an homage to the suffragette movement and was incidentally timed to the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote.

Speaking out about the influence behind the newest unveiling, the artists said, “With Still Life, we wanted to create something that not only enhances the urban landscape but also encourages people to take a step back and appreciate the little things, the moments of calm that we often overlook.”
