Published 1 year ago

Born in Vienna, Austria and raised in Antwerp, Belgium, artist Giselle Dekel had big dreams of becoming a textile designer because of her passion for patterns. However, despite achieving the necessary qualifications in the textile design field, she struggled to find a job over the years.

Discouraged by her lack of success, Giselle fell into a minor depression and struggled to break free from her situation. Eventually, in 2020 she became very uncomfortable in her circumstances both physically and financially which ultimately led to her digging deep within herself to create more honest art with a more authentic feel. Her artistic spark returned and her works resonated with audiences who were similarly struggling with the idiosyncrasies of everyday life as women and mothers. Scroll below for a peek at some of her most relatable pieces that have captivated audiences worldwide.

Shanilou Perera

Shanilou has always loved reading and learning about the world we live in. While she enjoys fictional books and stories just as much, since childhood she was especially fascinated by encyclopaedias and strangely enough, self-help books. As a kid, she spent most of her time consuming as much knowledge as she could get her hands on and could always be found at the library. Now, she still enjoys finding out about all the amazing things that surround us in our day-to-day lives and is blessed to be able to write about them to share with the whole world as a profession.

Got wisdom to pour?
