Viral Dog Groomer Gabriel Feitosa Transforms Dogs Into Other Adorable Animals
Gabriel Feitosa, a Brazilian dog grooming artist based in San Diego, has been going viral for his unique dyeing techniques that transform dogs into other animals.
The artist has been dyeing his own dog for about 8 years now and has participated in several creative grooming competitions around the world. In a short interview, Gabriel tells DeMilked, “I’ve started trying some fun designs on my own dog but as soon as people saw it on the internet it just took off.”
He further elaborates, “When clients book an appointment with me for a certain design or idea I never confirm on the spot. I have to meet the dog in person first, I like to create designs that work well with their personality and features. I frequently pull them from my imagination relying on my love for animals, art, games, anime etc. I’ve learned the more I lean into my personality the more successful the designs become and the happier I’m with the results.”
In an Instagram video, the artist also shares that he uses non-toxic dyes and explains, “I understand the concerns about the safety of the dyes because it comes from a place of love for animals. The dyes last about 3 months on a dog with continuous hair growth. I’ve been doing this for 18 years, dogs have saved my life and shaped me into who I’m. I would never stress or harm a dog.”
