20 Times Architects And Engineers Created Impractical And Unsafe Things, As Shared In This Online Community
While some architects create friendly and thoughtful constructions to make life easier for everyone, others don’t care about people’s safety. In order to make things aesthetic and pleasant, some architects tend to forget the ‘practicality’ part of things.
The subreddit r/ArchitectureForAdults shares photos of weird and ridiculous architectural and engineering designs that don’t seem very safe when you ponder upon them. Check out some of their best posts in the gallery below.

The architects have the mind of people on the internet, unforgiving.
Well done! Hilarious mostly, except for the one endangering bicyclists (which is just stupid, the glass slide (I’d try that, … once) and the inclusion of the full size sidewalk pads in the Japanese garden pond (not at all hard to negotiate and quite aesthetic).
#17 isn’t as bad as it looks; photo is from the top looking down. It actually looks like a pretty good space saver; way better than a normal staircase for as steep as it is. At least you can fit your whole foot on each step.
These pictures are awesome 😎
