In an interview with Thingsinsquares, Zach said he had been scribbling in the margins of every paper he came across as a kid. “My teachers despised my ability to earn the lowest scores possible while simultaneously ignoring every lesson due to my avid doodling,” recalled the artist. “In spite of all this I never considered my doodles to be a viable career or avenue for study until after I had accrued tens of thousands of dollars in debt.”

Zach says he went to college for music only to find out that music was stupid and that he wasn’t really good at it. He finished his degree and decided he should do something else – that’s when Zach began wondering if his passion for drawing stupid stuff was actually his real passion and started a webcomic. “It started off terribly and everybody hated everything I did, but it was fulfilling to me so I kept doing it,” said the artist. Fast forward to today, and Zach has hundreds of thousands of followers on his social media pages who anxiously wait for his latest comic – me included.
