People Are Calling This Wax Museum The Worst In The World And Here Are 19 Reasons Why

Published 5 years ago

Anyone who has ever visited a wax museum knows that even the most realistic wax figures can be a little creepy. But there’s something about wax figures being a little off that brings a whole different level of creepiness – or hilariousness, depending on how you look at it. And if there’s one wax museum that’s notorious for its hilariously bad wax figures, it’s the Louis Tussaud’s House of Wax in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

Throughout the years, the museum has become somewhat of a tourist attraction for all the wrong reasons. People from all over the world would flock to it to see some of the most hilarious wax figures ever created. From Mussolini that look like he’s been punched in the face to The Beatles that look like a group of Mormons about to knock on your door, check out the museum’s collection of hilariously terrible wax figures in the gallery below!

Sadly, the wax museum closed its doors back in October of 2012 after 57 years of running. But don’t worry – the wax figures weren’t turned into candles. An anonymous Czech collector actually purchased all of them, according to former owner Jane Hayes.

In an interview with Dailymail, Peter Hayes, Jane’s husband and co-owner of the museum, said that it costs around $1,245 to make one of the figures. The whole collection was estimated to be worth about $14,943, but it’s not clear how much it actually sold for.

If you think the museum’s name sounds a little familiar, it’s because it was named after the great-grandson of Madame Tussaud. And even though the sculptures might have looked a little hilarious, apparently a lot of people miss them, as seen on the museum’s Trip Advisor page.

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
