The Creator Of The “Good Boy” And “Black Cat” Comics Is Back With Another Heartbreaking Comic About A Duck
Jenny Hefczyc, aka Jenny-Jinya, is a German artist who creates grim yet bittersweet comics that deal with topics like loneliness and death. We already featured some of the artist’s works before and now she’s back with another heartbreaking comic about a baby duck.
In an interview with Bored Panda, Jenny said she came up with the idea for the comic after seeing someone run over a family of ducks in front of her eyes on a slow country road. “That was cruelty that could so easily have been avoided,” said the artist.

Artist Jenny-Jinya recently shared a heartbreaking comic about a baby duck
Jenny has been obsessed with drawing from a young age and could draw before she could even walk, according to her mother. “I picked up a pencil when I was a kid and I never stopped scribbling,” said the artist. “Yeah, I always wanted to be an artist. I wanted to tell stories and create worlds.”
“But sometimes I have to take breaks, days when I withdraw from art completely. Otherwise I really get a burnout,” said the artist.
Jenny believes that even though many small artists are frustrated because they haven’t yet developed their own style, it’s nothing to worry about. “That’s something that cannot be rushed. It sounds weird, but let your artistry speak out. Finding your own style and niche is something that takes time to develop. There’s simply no shortcut.”
