Natalie Portman Wore An Oscar Dress Embroidered With The Names Of Snubbed Women Directors
Back on the 9th of February, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented the 92nd Academy Awards ceremony. All of the celebrities showed up looking their best but it was actress Natalie Portman’s gown that stood out the most – and not because of its flashiness. It turns out the dress had a special meaning hidden within the small details. Along the edges of the long black cape the actress was wearing were names embroidered in golden letters – names of the female directors the were snubbed out of an Oscar.
