Every Year Adults In Japan Dress Up In Incredibly Relatable Costumes For The Jimi Halloween Event (28 Pics)
Jimi Halloween (地味ハロウィン), roughly translated to “mundane Halloween”, is an annual Halloween event where adults dress up in oddly specific everyday costumes that hit way too close to home. The tradition was started back in 2014 by a Japanese blog called Daily Portal Z after a group of adults wanted to participate in Halloween events but felt like going out as zombies and witches was too embarrassing.
Jimi Halloween eventually grew into a pretty big event with hundreds of attendees showing up in incredibly creative, low-effort costumes. Check out the most hilarious ones from the Jimi Halloween 2019 in the gallery below!
