Vans Teams Up With Van Gogh Art Museum To Release A Fashion Line Inspired By Iconic Paintings
By now, Vans has to be one of the most widely recognized shoe and clothing brands out there, that are well known for their collaborations with various artists. For their latest one, they teamed up with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to create the Vans x Van Gogh Museum collection.
The items in the collection were inspired by four famous paintings of the Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh: Skull, Sunflowers, Almond Blossom and the artist’s self-portrait. The collection includes shoes, hats and various articles of clothing.
Adriaan Dönszelmann, Managing Director of the Van Gogh Museum said the museum is delighted with the collection: “It ties in with our mission to make the life and work of Vincent van Gogh accessible to as many people as possible in order to enrich and inspire them.”
A part of the revenue gained from the sales will be donated to the museum to help preserve Van Gogh’s works. The collection launches on August 3rd so don’t miss out!
