These Russian Artists Transform Old Damaged Walls Into Beautiful Works Of Art
Have you ever seen a facade of a house that kind of looked like a face? Or maybe you’ve seen one on the front of a car (like this little happy face on a Renault Twingo)? If you answered ‘Yes’ to these questions, then you might have something called pareidolia.
Pareidolia is a phenomenon where a person sees faces in random everyday objects. In 2015, a Russian artist named Sofia Maksimova started sharing posts on a social media that featured images of various patterns on stucco walls, possibly inspired by this phenomenon. Eventually, other group members started sharing their own works and the group now has over 30,000 followers on Vkontakte and is constantly sharing various fan submissions.
Check out the images inspired by this weird phenomenon in the gallery below!
