The Winners Of 2018 Hasselblad Awards Have Been Announced, And Their Pictures Are Stunning
The jury for The Hasselblad Masters Awards, one of the most prestigious photography awards that are handed out biannually, has announced the list of winners for 2018. The 11 categories, which included art, landscape, and portrait photography, invited professionals and photography world’s newcomers to compete for the right to call themselves Hasselblad Master.
Apart from the honorable title, the winners will also become the ambassadors of the famous name for two years, get invited to participate in their projects, receive medium format Hasselblad cameras, and get their work printed in Hasselblad Masters book.
“It really struck me how progressive many of the entries were this year and how far the entrants were willing to push the brief. These were the photographers who caught my eye – the ballsy, out-there risk-takers who make compelling pictures that refuse to be ignored,” claimed one of the jury members, photographer Tom Oldham.
This year the competition received 31,500 entries, 175% more than two years ago. Scroll down to see the stunning pictures that topped all the other competitors.
