Tired Of People Running In The Hallway, This Company Came Up With This Floor Design
Looking at this floor you might think that there’s something wrong with it, and that’s exactly what one company in Manchester, UK, wants people to think so they would stop running down this hallway.
The floor is actually perfectly flat, but the tiles are arranged in a way that they create an optical illusion skewing runners’ perception and making them slow down.
The hallway is in Casa Ceramica, a tile company owned by Duncan Cook, who has posted some videos of him navigating through the new installation, that also serves as an introduction to the whole company: “the inspiration was to create an entrance themed on illusions and exceed expectations of how tiles can be used.”
What do you think about this idea? Where else do you see this being useful?

Needless to say, people were impressed by the illusion
Got wisdom to pour?
