New Bike Tires That Will Never Go Flat
Do you know what a huge bummer it is to finally get that sunny day off and grab your bike for a spin, only to get a trip-ruining flat tire? Well, the guys at Utah-based tech company Nexo have been working to make sure that never happens again, and they’ve just introduced what they’ve been working on.
It’s a new bike tire that will never go flat. Although the puncture-free tires are not a completely new concept, they always had serious flaws, like stiffness, poor shock absorption, weight and so on. What these guys offer is a tire made from polymeter blends that are said to offer not only a perfect balance of cushion and resilience but be last from 3,100 miles (the model mountable on existing wheels) to 5,000 miles (the entire wheel set).
It’s also an eco-friendlier solution because the tire is made from a single material which makes it easy to recycle. And that matters because around 10,000,000 tons of bike tires and tubes are discarded every year.
