This Girl Is Only 17 But NASA Is Already Preparing Her To Become The First Human On Mars

Published 6 years ago

Have you ever wanted to become an astronaut when you were a kid? Well, did you become one? Unless you’re reading this article from the International Space Station, then the answer is probably not. Well, one girl from Baton Rouge, Louisiana is actually making that dream come true.

At only 17 years old, Alyssa Carson is already on her way to becoming an astronaut and going on the human mission to Mars in 2033. She is the first person to visit all 14 NASA Visitor Centres and complete the NASA Passport Program. Not only that, she is also the youngest person to become certified to go to space – Alyssa has graduated from the Advanced Possum Academy thus making her an official astronaut trainee. Although Alyssa is living such a busy lifestyle, she is still a high school student. Her school subjects might be a little more difficult than a regular teenager’s though – she is studying all her subjects in four different languages. Of course, Alyssa’s dream comes at a price – she can’t get married or start a family, but that doesn’t seem to stop her.

Alyssa is also a public speaker – she aims to encourage people to seek their dreams and draw interest in space exploration. “Always follow your dream and don’t let anyone take it from you,” said Alyssa in an interview with Bored Panda. She says she was inspired by all astronauts, especially women, as they have made the road for her to follow and we wish her nothing but the best in achieving her dream.

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
