This Japanese Artist Creates Photorealistic Drawings Of Cats, And It’s Almost Impossible To Tell Them Apart From The Real Thing

Published 4 years ago

Haruki Kudo is a 20-year-old Japanese artist who creates stunning colored pencil drawings of cats that you might mistake for photographs at first glance. And it’s not hard to see why – his drawings are meticulously detailed, and the amount of effort that the artist puts into each one of them is absolutely incredible.

In an interview with DeMilked, Haruki said he has been creating cat drawings for the past three years and that he learned to draw entirely by himself. When asked why he chose to illustrate cats, the artist said that it’s simply because it’s fun. Haruki says he wants people to be healed, and that he likes to imagine his drawings coming to life while he’s drawing them.

One day, this guy just kind of figured - "I spend most of my time on the internet anyway, why not turn it into a profession?" - and he did! Now he not only gets to browse the latest cat videos and fresh memes every day but also shares them with people all over the world, making sure they stay up to date with everything that's trending on the web. Some things that always pique his interest are old technologies, literature and all sorts of odd vintage goodness. So if you find something that's too bizarre not to share, make sure to hit him up!

Got wisdom to pour?
