Famous Artworks Ruined By Clients Who Think They Know It All

Published 8 years ago

An excess of marketing, consensus, and politically correct were never behind a memorable project,” say the guys from Paris-based graphic design advice agency Graphéine, who have released a series of comical illustrations about how famous artworks could’ve been ruined by difficult clients.

The project was inspired by @MarieJulien‘s post on Twitter and born out of frustration of clients pushing in with ridiculous demands and taking away the creative freedom from the artists. It was illustrated with four famous artworks that were dissected with the worst ideas ever that if implemented would’ve ruined the whole concept. A rather frustrating reality the designers have to face constantly.
