Norway’s Breathtaking Fjords From A Polish Kayaker’s Perspective
Fjord is a funny word and a great sight. Norway is the fjord capital of the world, and Tomasz Furmanek brings us great pictures of them from his kayak trips. He hops in his kayak and captures magnificent images all the way up and down the Norwegian coast. Fjords, the setting sun, stormy seas and glaciers all find a place in his photos.
Tomasz Furmanek is a 41 year-old Polish photographer who has lives in Noway and works at the Institute of Marine Research. He lives in Bergen and usually kayaks in the area around the city. Furmanek uses a GoPro camera attached to his helmet and a small Sony camera that’s on the front of his kayak. “I kayak mainly because it is an easy way to get mental balance,” Furmanek said in an interview. “You get close to nature in a kayak and can experience things that is not possible while hiking.”
