Electric Bikes Made Out Of Vintage 1950s Bike Parts

Published 9 years ago

Before going into the bike manufacturing business Luca Agnelli was schooled in antique furniture restoration. This, combined with the modern automotive trends has yielded a unique result – namely a vintage electric bike.

His company called Agnelli Milano Bici makes bikes that not only look vintage, his designs incorporate parts that are actually taken from the old bikes that date back to the 1950s. The artist restores old bits and includes them into a new piece, which makes every bike unique as the design is dictated by those salvaged parts.

The bikes resemble those from the 1950s that ran on petrol but this time, the petrol tank is used to house electric batteries. An idea that worked perfectly with Luca’s plans to combine old vintage designs seamlessly with the technologies of today.
